In Calgary, the taxi industry is regulated by the City of Calgary Livery Transport Services and therefore all taxicabs follow the same rate structure. Below is a rate sheet similar to the one found on each and every taxi in the city.

Current Taxi Rates

Rates include 5% G.S.T. Rate #1 Regular fares: 3.40 on the first 135 meters $0.20 each additional 135 meters or portion thereof $30.00 per hour waiting time or $0.20 each 24 seconds elapsed time or portion thereof Rate #2 From the airport: $6.40 on the first 135 meters $0.20 each additional 135 meters or portion thereof $30.00 per hour waiting time or $0.20 each 24 seconds elapsed time or portion thereof

* Flat rate fares not allowed unless approved by Livery Transport Services.

* Driver is not required to carry change for more than $5.00 from 6 P.M. to 6 A.M. and $20.00 from 6 A.M. to 6 P.M.
